Making money with RSS Feeds

Making money with RSS Feeds
by: Sandra Stammberger
Copyright 2005 Sandra Stammberger

First it was banner ads, then Google AdSense and now, the latest way to make money on your web site could very well be RSS feeds. Say what? I said: RSS is hot and you should be using it to drive eyeballs to your site. Here's how it works:

Depending upon who you ask, RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" or "Rich Site Summary". Regardless of what you call it, RSS is a way to automatically publish (syndicate) someone else's content on your web site. Now don't worry, that's not the same as stealing someone else's content. There is nothing illegal about using RSS feeds. In fact, the publisher of the content wants you to have it show up on your site and that's why he or she makes it available as an RSS feed to begin with.

So what's in it for all parties concerned?

Using RSS is a win-win for both the publisher of the content, who gets their name out to potentially millions of sites and you, the web site owner who is pulling the content onto your site.

Content, by the way, means anything that a publisher decides it means. Typical content includes news headlines, new product update notices, blog summaries and lots of other stuff. It's the "content" portion of the equation that's good news for you.

Show me the money

One of the best features of hosting RSS feeds is that it gives your site an endless source of freshly updated and relevant content. This content acts as natural search engine spider bait which they will fill their little tummies on and come back for more every day. Their appetite for fresh content keep your rankings up.

Sticky Loyalty isn't a new Ben & Jerry's flavor, but it should be the goal of any serious webmaster who wants to create a web site that visitors return to over and over again. The use of carefully selected RSS feeds can make that happen by offering unique content which can't be found anywhere else.

Now please don't make the mistake of thinking "But they can get that same content at the publisher's site, why should they come to mine?". Just build it and they will come! Sorry, I couldn't resist saying that, but it's true. In addition to the RSS content, which they surely can get somewhere else, you are going to add your own sticky loyalty stuff that's all about whatever your site is all about to begin with. That combination of your own content and the RSS feed makes visiting you a purely unique experience that can't be found anywhere else.

You don't have to be a member of the Geek Squad to start showing RSS feeds on your site. Just visit any of the links below and get busy using RSS to make mo' money.

E-business strategy vital for e-commerce web solutions
by: Ben Stewart

Though there are a number of e-commerce web solutions in the market, what makes your e-commerce venture stand out from the thousands of other such ventures on the Internet and fetch you a high Return on Investment is your e-business strategy. If you have your e-business strategy neatly defined, it would be easier for you to choose your customized e-commerce solution.

Depending upon your ebusiness strategy, website developers develop for you
e-commerce web solutions that suit your business best. Choose a developer who has plenty of experience as an ebusiness solution provider in developing successful e-commerce websites that include sites geared towards selling specific Products or Services, Dating sites, Auction sites, Social Networking sites, to name a few.

A good e-commerce web site design would provide: (1) a 'Unified Storefront' that is a well-displayed showcase of products (2) a 'Shopping Cart System' where you place your selected products (3) a system that integrates your online data transactions and e commerce payment solutions with your existing accounting system and (4) a fine-tuned Search option to locate just the kind of product you want.

A successful e-commerce web site design should have an intuitive and user-friendly control panel enables administrators to manage the webstore and sales — whether it's membership, product or service purchases. It should have a system for keeping records of returning customer profiles, allowing them to retrieve and re-order from previous orders, speeding up the process.

E-commerce web development should also focus on database driven website design to allow business websites the ability to create additional value for their users and add functionality that retains customers. It provides an easy mechanism for collecting information about customers.

For developing a profitable e business auction site, there are a set of vitally important power-packed options and tools you should have. For instance, your should have a full Admin Area to exercise complete control over the web-site (2) Multiple Payment Modules (3) the option to run your site as Private Or Public Site and (4) a complete Auction Interface.

Besides, there is a complete strategy working behind it to make your presence felt in the huge auction marketplace even if you are running not a whole auction site but say an e-Bay store. And impressive eBay web design can double sales in incredibly short period of time. You need a professional eBay Stores Designer who would help you create a successful store right from the logo and layout to setting up categories and sub categories and advise you on the proper text and keywords to use in your SEO eBay store.

5 Hot Internet Businesses For 2005

5 Hot Internet Businesses For 2005
by: Nowshade Kabir

If you are planning to start a new business in 2005, you should seriously consider one of the many Internet based businesses available today. The online businesses have numerous inherent advantages in comparison to their brick and mortar counterparts.

Investment is relatively small

The basic elements to start an online business are the followings: a good product or service, an online presence, and a good marketing plan. All these things can be done on a shoe-string budget. You won’t require more than US$ 2000 to start any of the business described below. In most of the cases, the investment can be even lower. Quick to launch

Once you know, what products or services you are going to sell, you can, basically, start your business within three to four weeks. Some of the online businesses don’t even take more than two to three days to start.

Large audience

Internet is big and it’s getting bigger! Whatever business you prefer to start, Internet allows you to tap instantly into a huge number of potential customers, which is, virtually, impossible to do with a brick and mortar enterprise.

Huge growth potential

With the Internet, sky is the limit! If you have a good product, service or idea, you can create a dot com behemoth over night! Smart guys are doing this! Internet success examples are abound.

Work from home

The best thing about online business is you can take care of it even while you are on vacation. No office is necessary; you work from home, if that is what you prefer.

Less paper work

Since starting for your quotation and purchase orders to the invoices and shipment tracking, everything is done online; you hardly have to do any paper work. Check out an example of how easy it is to manage your business processes online at http://www.rusbiz.com/deal_manage.html

Flexible time schedule

No longer have you had to work nine to five! You set your own schedules. Although, with any new business, initially, you have to work very hard, however, the time flexibility allows you to do other important things whenever it’s necessary.

There is no limit to Internet business ideas. Savvy entrepreneurs are constantly coming up with mind-boggling online projects and striking rich in no time.

Here I have chosen several of the online businesses with great upward potential with proven success history.

Selling information

If you are asked, what do you do on the Internet most of the time? The answer, most probably, will be searching or retrieving information. You are not alone! A survey conducted by Neilsen Media Research shows that Books and Information Category tops the highest selling product and service on the Internet with a significant margin in comparison to other categories. This makes information a natural product for sale on the Internet. Information sells online in the formats of e-books, articles, reports, data, whitepapers etc. If you have expertise in any specific field, you may consider selling your ideas in one of the mentioned format. Check out Clickbank’s marketplace to get a good idea what people are selling. You will be truly amazed by the scope of ideas!

Travel agency

According to Jupitar Research the U.S. online travel market has grown at a fast pace over the last year, totaling $54 billion in 2004, or 23% of travel purchased. The online market is projected to grow to $91 billion in 2009, or 33% of travel purchased.

Apart from being a soaring market, travel agency is also highly rewarding and satisfactory business. The interesting thing about this business is your own network of acquaintances is also your potential customers.

The success of this business will depend on your target market and product that you are going to sell. Choose a very niche product and focus on a specific market segment. For example: Red Sea Rivera of Egypt is increasingly becoming a primer destination for many sun worshippers. Try working with several of the hotels from this area. Create package deals and offer to European customers.

eBay store

eBay has grown into the largest online marketplace in the world. Entrepreneurs are taking advantage of this. Opening a store on the eBay is fairly easy. However, the competition is stiff! There are nearly half a million stores are selling almost anything you can think off. In order to be successful you have to choose your products very carefully. The best selling items on the auction marketplace are collectibles, books, computer software and hardware, clothing, home and garden supplies, business supplies, wholesale lots, DVDs, special events tickets and even cars and real estates. If you don’t have your own products or you don’t want to physically handle a product, you can consider selling drop-ship items.

The main reason why you should mull over selling your products through eBay is the sheer number of visitors eBay gets. By no means, an average website can bring you so many customers.

If you find difficulties doing the auction sales yourself, you can also concentrate on seeking out products and selling them through eBay drop off stores. You can also come up with your own drop off store.

Web service firm

Services required by the Internet users and online businesses are increasing enormously. The Internet service industry is evolving so fast that for their various requirements, many companies, today, prefer outsourcing as oppose to doing things by hiring employees.

Large and small companies started to realize that it’s more cost-effective and time-saving to outsource sophisticated business related services, which are not their core business. This has created a flourishing industry, part of which did not even exist several years ago.

To be successful in this market you have to know what’s the odds are. A rush to provide complex solutions of vast range that fail to provide benefits at reasonable costs for businesses will sure take you out of business very fast.

The services that you can provide may include:

Website design

Website promotion

Online security consulting

7 Easy Ways to Make More Money in Network Marketing

7 Easy Ways to Make More Money in Network Marketing
by: Daegan Smith

Hit a snag lately? Haven’t been able to recruit any new agents? Is you network marketing job paying less and less because you can’t generate any sales? You don’t have to fret! With these easy network marketing tips, you can revitalize your sales pitch and methods in no time at all!

1. Contacts
Remember that your contacts are your most valuable asset. Who are your contacts? The people you see on the streets? Your next door neighbor?

When considering whom to invite, try those closest to you first. This is because they are most likely to be more open to your suggestions and will be willing to do you a few favors (such as buying that detergent you are hawking). The great thing about this is that they will really mind plunking a few bucks to help jumpstart your business. And when they see that you are doing well, they could very well join you as well.

When you run through the whole list of you clan, what will that leave you with? You will of course have to go to those people that next in line with regards to closeness or affinity to you. And what if that gives out too?

You can always adopt a friendlier stance and chat up that neighbor you never talked to. You could meet new people on the bus and on the train. But remember, you have to like them as people first. Don’t go about and look at them like walking piggy banks. People will know if they are being looked upon as ‘things.’ Always regard them highly and get to know them. Build their trust. The truth is, the friendships you build will be the true reward, and the sales will be just a side dish.

Always ask for referrals from your contacts. This is another sure way to increase your prospects.

2. Believe
If you yourself do not believe in your product, chances are you won’t be able to sell it to others. Remember, nothing promotes a product better that a satisfied customer. Let others see you using the product. Say glowing things about it. And most of all, let all that you say be true. If your customer finds out you weren’t being honest, you could ruin your business relationship.

When you choose a network business, take into consideration their product. See if you can believe in it and pitch for it effectively.

3. Recruit the right people
Don’t just recruit anybody. Make sure the people you recruit share an unbridled passion, and tireless work ethic with like you. If you don’t chances are, they will drop out of the networking business and you will not be able to build your downline.

4. Don’t force the issue
When trying to close a sale, don’t force the issue. If you do, people will get suspicious as to why you are doing so. Are selling them counterfeit items? Are you only interested in your profit and not in your customer’s satisfaction? Always keep this in mind: the customer always comes first. Please them, and the profits and windfall from these relationships will follow.

5. Look the part
When recruiting others, you can’t say, “You will get rich with network marketing,” and look shabby all the while. They’d say, “I thought you got rich from this thing, why do you look like you didn’t.” People will want to see a visible sign of success. You are their only reference point. If you are not convincing as a successful networking agent,

6. Hang in there
Perseverance is a virtue. If money grew on trees, you’d still have to wait for them to grow. Remember the old adage: try and try, until you succeed. Remember that your goal is not to just to get money, but to build upon a good income generating business.

7. Evolve
Don’t be satisfied thinking that your techniques at recruiting will forever be effective. Although there are basic principles that should be followed, you can forever improve on your techniques. Today’s society is constantly evolving. If you want to catch up with them, you have to evolve in your marketing strategies as well.

Try ‘Em
Try these tips. They are sure to give you more confidence in your network marketing strategy!

eBusiness - Small Business Necessity

eBusiness - Small Business Necessity
by: Rick Hendershot

The rapid growth of the internet commerce in recent years presents established small businesses with a serious dilemma. On the one hand, they can stick with the business model that has worked for them for the last number of years. On the other hand, they can make the shift to serious eBusiness.

Choosing to stand pat is usually much easier in the short term. But in the longer term this almost certainly means they will be left behind by technology, and lose many of their most important clients to more aggressive competitors.

But shifting to eBusiness may involve committing substantial resources to developing a new game plan. That usually means refining product lines to make them easier to sell online, upgrading computer systems and websites, and training personnel at all levels to be more web savvy. It also means developing or hiring staff to handle the administration of new marketing, sales, and delivery systems, and working with outside consultants and service providers to handle the technical aspects of the new program that cannot be handled by your own people.

Is adopting an eBusiness Solution worth the effort?

Are the short term difficulties involved in making the transition to eBusiness worth the effort?

In virtually all cases, Yes.

It is like any other investment in your business. Some businesses look at the cost of upgrading production equipment or of renovating their office or retail space and decide it is simply not worth the cost. They decide the future is too uncertain to risk moving ahead, so they opt to tread water until either circumstances change, or they simply cannot continue any longer in business.

In this sense, choosing to stay abreast of technological changes is a business necessity. And these days, deciding to get involved with eBusiness is the most important technological decision many current businesses will ever make.

Advantages of eBusiness

Here are some of the more important advantages of moving to eBusiness.

You can develop a more cost-effective Communication and Marketing Strategy - The most obvious advantage of "upgrading" to eBusiness is that it gives you a vital web presence. In an upgraded "eBusiness environment" your company web site becomes the focal point of your communications and marketing strategy. And in an era when an increasingly large number of people are using the web as their first source of product and service information, "being there" 24/7 is extremely important.

You can reach New Markets World Wide - The internet offers exciting ways of reaching new markets that could only be dreamed of in the past. There are methods of promoting your products online that allow you to precisely target the customers you are after whether they are in your town or on the other side of the world.

You can reach Local Customers and Prospects more effectively - Until recently, companies offering a product or service to local customers could not see the benefits of having an online presence. But as more and more people become comfortable with using the internet instead of traditional advertising sources like classified ads or yellow pages, having an aggressive web presence makes better business sense even for local companies. This may also offer a springboard to developing new markets further afield.

You can cut Advertising and Marketing Costs - Online advertising is not only more efficient, but it is often less expensive than traditional advertising. After sales training expenses can also be reduced by utilizing online seminars, training videos and tutorials.

You can streamline the Ordering Process by taking orders online - Implementing an online ordering system allows you to eliminate manual paper work or telephone order taking. It also offers the possibility of integrating your sales order system with order fullfillment and delivery so customers can be up to speed on the progress of their orders at all times.

You can cut Communications and Telephone Costs - While the costs of voice communications using long distance telephone services have been coming down rapidly over the last few years, switching to an eBusiness model offers the possibility of totally eliminating many of these costs. Of course there is traditional email. But beyond that, there are systems like "Live Help" where customers can chat live with support or sales staff. And the most recent development is VoIP (Voice Over Internet) which promises to completely revolutionize telephone service.

Finding the right eBusiness Solution

Every business is unique, so every business will require a unique eBusiness solution. Chances are most small businesses will not have the resources inhouse to make the move. In that case they should find an eBusiness solution provider that takes a comprehensive approach to each situation. Rather than offering a pre-packaged program, they should be able to look carefully at a business and make recommendations based on its specific needs. That includes the ability to provide staff training and ongoing support long after the initial system is put in place.

5 Pillars To A Successful Home Business

5 Pillars To A Successful Home Business.
by: Joel Suarez

- Hustle:

Generally, people who make it big have one thing in common—they are dissatisfied with the status quo. They will not take what is “common” or “expected” and let that define their lives—they move past it and excel. You must work hard and hustle.

- Character:

Someone coined the phrase, “character is what you do in the dark.” In other words, when no one is looking, will you behave differently than if someone was looking? If not, then you have character. If you are attacked, be tough—not hard. Don’t be a pushover, but be compassionate, gentle, and flexible—especially on procedure (not principle).

- Risk Taking:

This isn’t gambling, it’s a willingness to be bold, hearty, and to push forward. People who refuse to take risks are definitely going to lose. If you refuse a new promotion because you’re not confident of your skills, you will likely be passed over when a different chance arrives.

Don’t be afraid of rejection, just take it as part of life and you’ll find there’s nothing to be afraid of—especially in the word “no.” “No” is just another opportunity to find a way around an obstacle and to use creative problem-solving skills.

- Time Management:

We all know that one minute has 60 seconds and that one hour has 60 minutes. One day has 24 hours, and one year has 365 days. But one year also has 525,600 minutes. We don’t think about a year in such small increments, but maybe we should.

We waste minutes as if they’ll always be around, and the fact is that time wasted is time we can never get back. We might miss a deal or promotion of a lifetime by wasting just a few minutes.

Proper time management is essential as you climb to success. Continue to break goals down in to manageable chunks—do that with relation to your day and the time you’ve been given. You’ll accomplish far more this way and you won’t regret using your time wisely.

- Master Non-Verbal Communication:

It is said that our body language and facial expressions do much more communicating than our words will ever do. When the words that you speak don’t match the expressions on your face or the stance of your body, you confuse the listener and muddle your message.

Be aware that when you try to “multi-task,” you often end up short-changing something, and the last thing you want is to short-change people. Don’t try to do too much at once—your willingness to do this tells people they aren’t important, even if you’re expressing your appreciation of their work and effort.

Be aware of what message your body is sending off!

How to Make Money on a Music Website

How to Make Money on a Music Website through Pay-Per-Click?
by: Jeff Schuman II
© Jeff Schuman II
http://www.best-mp3-music-downloads.com

Interested in making money while you’re asleep, or making money
while you’re not even on the computer? Well here is a way that
you can do that, clicks!! Once you have gone through
godaddy.com and purchased your domain name for a cheap $9.20 per
year, and found a hosting company such as GoDaddy.com for $3.95
per month, you are set to begin building your website and making
money. It is possible to make money by joining affiliate
programs and selling companies’ products as mentioned in my
previous article, How to Make Money on a Music Website through
Affiliate Programs found at:

http://www.best-mp3-music-downloads.com/articles/article13.html

Now how exactly do you make money through people clicking on
your website and links on your website? The first step is to
get a FREE affiliate account with 7search at 7search.com. What
this will allow you to do is place 7search ads and other
websites dealing with your topic, in this case music, on your
website.

On the 7search affiliate page you will be able to manage your
account viewing how many clicks a day you are getting and how
much money you are making. How you make money is by placing
pay-per-text links on your website. Through 7search you will
want to go to:

http://www.best-mp3-music-downloads.com/7searchkeyword.html

This will allow you to look at the price you will make for
different keywords that you use. The difference between music
and free music for example, results in a change of cost that
websites are paying to get their website higher on the search
engine.

When creating your pay-per-text once you have come up with a
keyword that you want to use, come up with a short sentence or
phrase to let people know what they are clicking on. For
example, use Top 10 music websites or Best free music websites,
to reel them in to see what the top 10 music websites are. You
will also be able to choose how many sites you want to come up
on your list, from 1 to all that are available. You will want
to keep it at 10 or under as the lower down the list the site
is, the less you get paid each time a surfer clicks on the link.

As you create this pay-per-text, 7search will give you a code
that you place in your web panel creating a link. The great
thing about 7search is that there is NO limit to how many
pay-per-text links you place on your website, so you can have
one on each page of your website or more. It is recommended
however, that you don’t place more then a couple per page as it
will begin to appear cluttered with pay-per-texts. Once you
place the pay-per-text links on your website, you are set to
begin making money 24/7.

Now that you have a way to make money by people clicking on
links on your website, how do you get people to come to your
website? You want to get your website out on the internet and
get it known. You can run ads through other peoples’ websites
or on various companies’ websites, but this will cost you money
varying from website to website. If you want to make money
without spending too much money, the way is by exchanging links
with other people.

Exchanging links with other people allows you to get your
website out on other peoples’ website so that when surfers go on
to their website, they may see your website and be intrigued. By
exchanging links, you are giving your website to someone else to
have them place it on their website and in return, you place
their website on your website.

The two link exchange companies that I use are infowizards.com
and linkmarket.net. Infowizards is free to join and allows you
to trade multiple links with people in all categories with no
limit. You will want to keep your link exchanges as close to
your topic as possible. For example, don’t trade links with
someone that has a website based on relationships if you have a
music website.

The other link exchange company that I use, linkmarket.net, is
free to a limit. You may only request 5 links per day for free,
or you may request unlimited links per day at the cost of $18.85
a year, which is highly recommended. The linkmarket.net website
offers far more links than the infowizards website, and is much
easier to maintain and keep track.

Another good way to get traffic to your website is by writing
articles on various topics relating to your topic in some way.
You then submit your article to as many places as possible such
as goarticles.com, article-emporium.com, or ideamarketers.com.
If you can submit your articles to 30-50 places, you will create
traffic to your website in a hurry. Now you know what to do and
the places to join to get money flowing if off of your music
website while you aren’t even working on it.

Get Paid For Surveys | Make Money Online

Get Paid For Surveys | Make Money Online
Posted by EditorsChoice

It's so easy to get paid for surveys and you'll soon find that it will change your life as well. Paid surveys can help you pay off bills faster, take nicer vacations, save for retirement or just about anything that you need money for. Just think how nice it would be to know that every month you can get paid for surveys to the tune of $300 or even $1000. I know that kind of money would help just about anyone (unless you're Bill Gates of course).

Many people want to know if doing surveys for money really works. Well it's worked very well for me. And there's a very good reason that thousands of people are joining me everyday in taking paid surveys. Quite simply this is the easiest way for anyone to make money online. Survey companies will even pay for the opinions of teens as young as 13. There's no need to get a paper route if you can get paid for surveys.

All the major U.S. and international corporations need feedback from their customers to develop new products and also for their existing products. And millions of smaller companies will conduct surveys for the same reason. How do you think they get these opinions? In the past they would hire companies to go out and survey people in the stores and malls or even pay people to come onsite so they could conduct focus groups. As you can imagine this was time intensive and expensive.

Now that the internet is everywhere they simply go online to conduct surveys. They get a market research company to develop surveys for them and they pay people for their opinions. In a nutshell, that is how you get paid for surveys. Companies want your opinion on their products and services so badly that they are willing to pay you for them. With so many companies out there needing data it makes it quite easy for you and me to make money by taking paid surveys.

Our opinions are so valuable that the survey companies actively look for people to register with them. They never have enough people to take their surveys and want more all the time. The more people they have registered the more attractive they will look to companies that want to hire them and the more money they can get for their services. If they make more money then so will we when we take the surveys to get paid.

Because there are so many paid survey companies to choose from it's best if you can register for all of them. That way you'll get the largest number of surveys every week and you'll be able to make the most money. If you want to get paid for surveys it's best to be able to pick and choose the highest paying surveys.

Create a separate email account for your surveys and check it often. If you can, several times a day is best. Paid survey companies want to know that you are reliable before sending you their highest paying surveys and that means responding to them in a timely fashion.

When you're just beginning it is also important to get a list of paying survey companies. You can do this yourself, but it is very time consuming. Why not just use a list that someone has already put together for you. There are many sites with this information, but be careful, because many will want you to pay for their list of survey companies or at the least expect you to give them your email address. If you can, try to find a list that is free of any registration or payment requirements. Surveys are free to take and information about them should be free as well.

It is very easy these days to get paid for surveys and I expect it will continue that way for a long time. As long as companies need our opinions for feedback about their products and services there will continue to be market research companies willing to pay for those opinions. And that means we can all continue to get paid for surveys for a very long time.

Adsense - 7 keys to empire?

Adsense - 7 keys to empire?
by: Richard Keir
Copyright 2005 Richard Keir

There's a lot of buzz around about how you can make a quick and easy fortune using this AdSense course or that tool or this book.

And they show you their incomes from AdSense too (though not necessarily THIS month). Now, is it just me or is something a little odd in all this?

Say, I'm making $5000 - no make that $15,276 a month from AdSense on my sites. And now I'm going to sell all my secrets on how to do that for $67 or $97 or whatever.

So what happened, did I get all bored with my filthy riches and decide to become a philanthropist and sell stuff that makes me 15K a month for a pittance? Or is it something else?

Am I saying it's impossible? Certainly not. I know people who make that more.

But a little reality. Those people don't have 5 or 6 or 50 sites. They have maybe 500 or 3000 or more. Few sites make 20 or more a day. Very few. Average income is probably less than a dollar a day. So with 500 sites at a dollar a day, you've got your 15K a month.

Now the domain names cost you maybe $3500 to $4500. Then you need hosting and somehow you've got to build the sites and get traffic to them. There are excellent tools but the ones that will let you do this kind of thing in a reasonably short time are also very (very) expensive.

And you are continually dealing with sites that don't get indexed or get de-indexed or even get banned. Traffic today, gone tomorrow. Plus, if you're not real careful with those tools you may get an unpleasant letter from Google about a DMCA copyright infringement which could cost you your AdSense account.

You can make money, you can build an empire. But it isn't easy or quick no matter what you hear. And it really isn't a business. It's not a long run proposition, it's not stable. You need to keep creating more sites as older ones fail - or you need to be smart and use those AdSense revenues to build an enduring business.

You put up with this down to here, so here are the real 7 "secret" keys to AdSense.

1. The best performing AdSense type is the large rectangle. This has been tested over and over.

2. The best colors are blue for the link - surfers know that blue means click me. And darkish almost black and grey for the text and url. No borders. The same background as your page. Will it merge into your content? No, that's bogus. There are maybe 4 surfers in this galaxy who can't tell a Google ad when they see one. They are not going to believe it's part of the text. Wake up, OK?

3. Another format which is being reported to more or less work is the full wide banner type layout with text ads and images directly above the links. Try it and see if it works for you. Maybe it's a fad.

4. Keywords and related content are critical if you want targeted ads. If you want high paying clicks you need to target the costly keywords AND have content that supports the keywords.

5. You need traffic interested in the ads. Which means your traffic generation techniques have to be targeted not scattershot. You might hear that 1% or 1.5% clickthrough rate is OK and 3% is good. Nonsense. Really successful people get CTRs that are often well above 30%. Even with modest efforts you should be getting an average 6 to 15% CTR (per ad impression, not pages).

6. You have to track what you're doing and you have to test variations in ad layout, placement, color and related content to optimize your income. No one can tell you how to do it except the traffic coming to your site. If you don't test and track, you're flying blind.

7. You need to keep building new sites.

You are now a member of the AdSense Illuminati. Quite possibly you already knew all that. So why are you looking for something else? Really. This is all you need to start doing it.

Probably any course or book can help you if that's what it takes to get you moving and doing. Ultimately, no one can really show you exactly how to do it. You're going to have to learn the ropes and put in the time.

Like everything in life - the greatest traffic generator, the ultimate course or the super MLM opportunity, if it sounds too good to be true, then it is. There's no magic bullet, no ultimate secret to buy. There's no easy, painless, work free, certain road to riches (except, maybe, inheriting it and that can be very hard on the heirs).

Whatever you do on the net, do it wide awake and with your brain actually functioning. The final un-numbered key is that a technique, a shortcut, an idea that will make what you do easier, faster, or more profitable - one single tiny thing - is worth more than any book or course costs. One useable idea and you've gotten a great deal. If you learned something you didn't know or had forgotten, then it's worth much more than you paid. There may not be any magic solution out there, but there are useful concepts, techniques and ideas. You just have to see them for what they are, and then get busy and really use them.

Making Extra Money - Is It Possible?

Making Extra Money - Is It Possible?

Since I've become a mother and grow the extra expenses that come along with parenting, I've had a need for making extra money. My husband and I both work full time, but even on a somewhat comfortable income, there is a definite need to look into making extra money. There are many ways to earn more of an income, as I quickly learned. The question became whether or not any of them would work for me.

Many of the ideas and concepts that came hand in hand with making extra money had disbelief all over them. I thought that the idea of reading email and taking online surveys was a bit strange, but I did research it just in case it wasn't. The online surveys usually only paid a few dollars at a time and you were not guaranteed to even be qualified to take most of the surveys that arrived in your mailbox. That concept didn't work for me at all. Neither did reading emails. I spend too much time in front of a computer during the working hours.

A friend of mine confessed that she'd gotten into mystery shopping as a way for her to be making extra money for her family. I registered for entirely too many sites that claimed to be in need of mystery shoppers. After a few months, I was completely irritated with that idea. I had never thought that I lived in the middle of nowhere, but apparently there weren't too many offers in my area.

All the promises of getting to shop at some really great stores and getting items for free did not hold true for me. I'm quite sure that people in less rural areas have a better chance of making extra money by mystery shopping. I however, gave up that idea.

I also discovered that people have been making extra money by allowing companies to place advertisements on your vehicle. If you allow them to decorate your car and you don't mind driving around like that, you can find ways to get your car payments paid for you each month. I love my car very much and just can't imagine having advertising all over my precious vehicle. The thought of having someone paying my car payments did appeal to me but I banned that idea.

I was slowly running out of ways to making extra money. We tossed around the idea of one of us getting a part time job but that meant that we would see one another less than we already do. Making extra money wasn't as easy as what I thought it would be. However, my husband began to do some selling on eBay to make some ends meet and that turned out to be more worthwhile than what I would have thought. With a little bit of extra time and energy, making extra money can be found in many different ways. You just need to find the one that suits your needs.

Simple Money Making Ideas You Can Use Now

Simple Money Making Ideas You Can Use Now

If you are looking for money making ideas, you can choose the clear, or you can try to look into the future and take a risk. Many people go the old fashioned route, and take on an extra job when money is tight. This is not a practicable solution for everyone, because there are only so many hours in the day. Many don’t want to give up their family time in order to secure a second job. This is when they should get creative and look for money making ideas that will fit their lifestyle.

If you are looking for ideas, you may have no idea to start. Your best option is to find something that you love to do. There are a few people who love their day jobs, but many people aren’t in jobs they love. When looking for money making ideas, look for something you can be passionate about. You can do this by looking at what you do for hobbies, or what helps you to relax. Do you write in a journal? Maybe you could earn some extra money by being a self employed writer. Do you love crafts? Maybe you could sell your crafts locally or online.

You can also take a leap when looking for money making ideas by searching the web. You can make money online; you just have to be able to separate the good offers from the scams. This is where your common sense must take over. If it sounds too good to be true, you should investigate the offer further. Just keep in mind that you probably won’t make a thousand dollars a day by stuffing envelopes, and even though mystery shopping is indeed a real thing, it won’t make you rich.

The best money making ideas are ones you can sink your teeth into. If you don’t enjoy what you do, you will give up on it quickly. Networking is always good, and you may find ideas you never knew existed. Be prepared to devote the necessary time into your new project, or you may find it is a waste of time. You must also consider your pressure entrance. If you don’t handle stress well, juggling multiple auctions on eBay might not be for you.

No matter where you find your money making ideas, just remember to be practical and be aware of what is going on. Any company that offers you a chance to earn money should be happy to answer any questions you may have, and will spell everything out for you in simple terms. If they seem vague, don’t return your phone calls, or speak to you in terms you simple cannot understand, you might want to look for something else.

What Is Affiliate Marketing?

What Is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing has many descriptions, yet all have the same meaning. Affiliate marketing is a huge business piece on the Internet. It is a cooperative effort between merchants and an affiliate’s website. For many years now, affiliate marketing has proved to be a cost-efficient, measurable method of delivering long-tern results. It has become famous for Internet sites who are trying to make some extra or additional income for their site. Every day, people get interested to affiliate marketing and want to make money out of it. But in many cases, these new affiliates do not fully understand the affiliate world and make costly mistakes. In other words, affiliate marketing has often been misunderstood.

One of the common misconceptions that are being associated about affiliate marketing is “selling”, though selling is an important activity of affiliate marketing and the central function of a business operation. Another is that affiliate marketing is commonly linked with “advertising”. While the importance of advertising in marketing a certain product is not to be underestimated, the fact of the matter is, advertising like selling, is merely a part of the many functions of marketing.
In affiliate marketing, an affiliate is compensated for every visitor, subscriber and/or customer provided through his efforts. The said compensation may be made based on a certain value for each visit. The most attractive aspect of affiliate marketing from the merchant’s viewpoint is that no payment is due to an affiliate until results are appreciated.

Affiliate marketing is typically being run by affiliate networks and this affiliate networks are composed of two functional bodies, the group affiliates and the group merchants. Each has their special function and role when it comes to affiliate marketing. The affiliate network acts as a third party between the merchant and the associated affiliates. The network provides the technology to deliver the merchant’s campaigns and offers. The affiliate network also collects commission fees from the merchant and then pays the affiliates which are part of the program.

The merchant is any web site owner that wants or desires to take advantage of performance based marketing. The benefits to the merchant are many. First, the merchant maintains and operates the affiliate program. If it would be extracted, the merchant needs to do their part by researching interested affiliate websites to ensure that they are a good fit for that particular website. Finding a fit for their merchandise would be the key to more generated income. The merchant has access to markets and customers without him spending valuable time searching out. Banner ads on affiliate sites are not distracting to the site user. It might produce interest for that product and drive the consumer to the merchants’ website. It is also the merchant who decides how much he is willing to pay for each sale that results from a visitor sent from an affiliate.

The affiliate or the affiliate marketer also sees a lot of benefits. The affiliate is a web site owner that promotes one or more merchants and their affiliate programs. Affiliate marketing can generate a full-time income for the affiliate. But this is not an easy task to accomplish. The affiliate needs to have a better understanding with the merchant what the commission will be, expected payment method and time involved in the contract. The affiliate has also the responsibility to stand for the merchandise their user based would be most interested in. For example, if the site has a user base of mainly stay-at-home mothers, then on-line job openings such as surveys would be a good match for them. This group would also appreciate direct links to children’s products and informational sites. Merchandisers often provide targeted, best-seller items and personal support to their affiliate. They often offer sales promotions that will benefit the merchandiser as well as the affiliate.

Affiliate marketing is a great situation for both the marketer and the affiliate. If they would work together, they can be an advantage to both. Plus the fact that it seems to make sense, it is easy and inexpensive way to start, and you can be up and running within a few days. But there is one thing to consider, it is how to get traffic and make your offer different than all others.

Top 5 Work At Home Business Tools

Top 5 Work At Home Business Tools

Let's face it, having a work at home business on the Internet is both exciting, as well as difficult. The competition for customers, as well as the anonymity of the Internet, leads to frustration at times by those marketing their work at home business online.

Many online chores can be time consuming also, taking precious time away from other chores that would improve marketing efforts and success. Since many people have to be reached on a consistent basis by anyone endeavoring to succeed online in their home business, a few tools, that cost very little, are probably a necessity in the fast-paced online marketing environment of today.

Five tools that are economical, and practically a "must-have" for any serious online marketer, are as follows:

1. A professional Website: Whether you are marketing your own goods, services, or products, or whether you are an Affiliate Program Member, or a Network Marketing Member, your own professional Website is a virtual "must" (even if it only looks "professional" and you've created it yourself). There are many good template software programs out there for this need, as well as affordable Website design services. Affiliate Program "viral Websites" or any Network Marketing "viral Website" can be used initially, as well as the "sub-domain free sites", but to see "real sales" everyone will eventually need their own domain name, and Website.

2. A good, reliable hosting service: Sometimes the most affordable is not the way to go, as affordability may sometimes result in a lot of "downtime" for your site, which you want to avoid as much as you can. Most hosts do experience some "downtime" off and on (this can't really be avoided, as technology is never that predictable), but ask others about their own "downtimes" on their sites before choosing a Web host, as too much "downtime" will result in too many lost sales.

3. A good Auto-responder: An auto-responder will automatically generate a pre-written message to anyone seeking more information from you or your business. In any work at home business, especially if you are the "sole employee", it can become difficult to respond to many requests immediately. Since sales are lost many times because of "delays in responding" to the initial contact, an auto-responder will keep the prospects happy until you can get back to them personally.

4. A professional Web address with email: Free e-mail accounts are good for personal contact on the Internet, but should be avoided when establishing an Internet home business. It simply is more secure and looks more professional to have a "business e-mail" with a consistent, well-established ISP (Internet Service Provider), than it does to have a "free" e-mail account. This lends credibility to your business.

5. A good, reliable e-book on marketing, written by a well-known reputable marketing "expert": Look around diligently for this. Although marketing e-books abound, the really good ones are few and far between. A good marketing e-book should cover everything from advertising to zeroing in on your niche market. Digest the book you choose before starting, and you'll see your efforts reap rewards much sooner than if you "try and go it alone" immediately.

These tools are just a start, and of course, there are many more. These are what I consider the "basics" though and will help get you started successfully in your work at home business
